To 'start as we mean to go on' in 2022, M1LE LONDON will be dedicating the first month of the year to fundraising for peer-to-peer support charity The New Normal.

Celebrating the impact exercise has on mental health and wellbeing, M1LE is inviting the community to log 'M1LEs' with them on Strava (search for: The M1LE High Club), and to share their own stories about exercise and mental health on social media – hopefully encouraging an open and accessible discussion on how the relationship between the two.

The New Normal is a peer to peer support charity that connects people through their grief and mental health. The New Normal charity offers a completely free alternative to one on one therapy in the form of peer to peer support meetings. Changing the way we discuss our grief, mental health and well-being in open and honest spaces. Nobody should ever feel isolated, and there is always somebody who will relate to your story. ‘If there’s one, there’s two.’

If you're able to support our efforts, you can do so in the following ways:

>> Donate what you can on JustGiving here

>> Join our Strava Club ('The M1LE High Club') and log a ride(s) over the month of January to help us tally up M1LEs ridden over the month

>> Share your own stories of mental health and exercise by tagging @onemilelondon and @tnncharity on social media

>> Buy something from us! We're also donating 100% of profits to the charity in January.
